NFPA 1670/1006 Technician Level II Qualification

Santa Fe Auto-X training is at the cutting edge of auto extrication and machinery disentanglement techniques in accordance with NFPA 1670/1006.  We have nationally renowned instructors teaching you with the best tools and training available.


Here are some of the core lessons of the program.

Large Vehicle Incidents 

Stabilize & extricate on scenarios involving semi-trucks and other large vehicles. 

Advanced Extrication Principals & Techniques 

Comprehensive information on vehicle construction, energy transfer, high strength steel, supplemental restraint systems and numerous extrication techniques

 Hybrid & Alternative Fueled Vehicles (AFV’s) 

Hybrids & AFV’s are quickly becoming more common. Stay up-to-date with technical info & techniques on how to safely respond to these unique challenges for rescuers. You will learn how to render these vehicles safe on your accident scene.

Machinery Disentanglement 

Emergency shut down and lock-out, tag-out procedures as well as efficient & effective methods of safely stabilizing, packaging & removing patients from a variety of machinery and impalement scenarios.

Instructional Expertise Includes  

Instructors representing various fire departments throughout the United States.

Experts in the field of rescue tools and technologies, including professionals from L.N. Curtis & Sons, HURST and PARATECH.

Upon completion of the class

Students who successfully complete all components of the class will have earned and receive a Course Completion Certificate, 24 hours of NM EMS Bureau CE's, a NFPA Qualification Task Book that outlines the Job Performance Requirement's of NFPA 1006 at Technician Levels I and II, and a bad-ass t-shirt!
