About Santa Fe Auto-X

Emergency rescuers will respond to vehicle accidents early and often in their careers.  More than 100 people die every day in the U.S. in a vehicle accident.*  With this in mind, 9-1-1 First Responders need to be ready to answer these calls efficiently and effectively.

Advancements in new vehicle technology has brought about a whole new set of challenges to First Responders- Advanced Steels such as Boron & Martensite, Supplemental Restraint System advancements, hybrids, electrics, and other alternative fuel technology vehicles.

The Santa Fe Auto-X is an advanced vehicle extrication and machinery disentanglement class that will teach First Responders the most advanced and efficient techniques of vehicle extrication with all of these types of vehicles. Rescuers will learn vehicle scenarios with large non-traditional vehicles as well as advanced and alternative principles for general application.  This NFPA 1670 compliant class also includes instruction on machinery disentanglement

Upon completion of this class, students will earn a course completion certificate, 24 hours of NM EMS Bureau CE's and our unique NFPA 1006 compliant JPR Technician-level II qualification task book.

Rescuers will leave refreshed on basic extrication, and confident on advanced techniques that may be new to them.

*According to U.S. Census Bureau & Department of Transportation.  This is an average over the past 5 years.

The Santa Fe Auto- X will be standing down for 2018, and will not offer this class. There may be another NM Fire Department that will pick up this class that; fills to capacity year after year, and is a training that is sought out by First Responders from all across the United States. We will keep you updated on what we hear.
